The plane circled the skies to kill time because of some congestion at the airport. It made me even more agitated. We were already delayed on ground before we departed, and now this. I couldn't help but think that someone up there wasn't happy with me. There was something wrong with my seat too. I sat and slept in the upright position for 8 hours. The air stewards were nothing short of rude and unhelpful. But the thought of seeing my family made it all worth while. It didn't really hit me up until then, I never really missed Singapore even though I had not been back for two years. But the last leg of the flight finally got me excited, to see my family, eat all the good food and re-explore the city I grew up in.
Sejong Korean Language School
It was a surprise like no other. Luggage still in the car, straight from the airport, my beloved uncle drove me to Tanjong Pagar, where my sister was. Her boyfriend recently established, Sejong, a Korean Language school at International Plaza and my mother told me she was going to be there. Roky and I took the lift up to the 10th floor. We were excited to see her and the new school.
I opened the door and smiled. Her jaw dropped, reaction frozen, she looked confused at the same time (later I found out she thought I was my doppelgänger). "OMG!" She screamed when she saw Rok, because then it was confirmed that it was me. Seong came out and so did another "OMG".
My gorgeous sister and I.
My love... looking like he wants to kill my sis.

I went to Funan DigitaLife Mall to buy a camera. After reviewing the photos, I realized that I wore the exact same shirt to buy Harriet (my new camera's name) when I bought Imogen! It was weird. I hadn't worn that shirt for years and for some reason, I decided to wear it that day. Odd how life works out sometimes.

First night back in Singapore, and man did I sleep well. My room smelt like my room. Everything felt so familiar. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Right after I showered, when Roky was already in bed, and I felt like I was alone, I just stood in the middle and soaked it all in.
So my shopping was done, and now it was his turn. But not before some good ol' chicken rice to start our day. First thing we did when we woke up, get some chicken rice!!! So yes, food first, soccer boots later. Priorities.
It was Queensway Shopping Centre for Rok's boots/jersey/sports what-nots. We also finally met Zhi.
Left: Zhi donning the Philadelphia baseball cap we got him.
Right: Rok, carrying the goods.
