Thinking that we could save a few bucks, Roky and I decided to try taking the Starbus to the airport. All I can say is, extremely bad management. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 10:30am. Usually I'd take a cab and leave at 9 but just to heir on the side of caution, we decided to leave at 8.
The bus arrived promptly, a Canadian guy already inside. We were told that there would two more pick ups and then we'd be off to the airport. This was all fine and going according to the plan of reaching the airport at 8:30, until the driver kept getting last minute calls from the company to pick up more people.
We happily obliged (even though we had no say) to pick another group up, as it was on the way. But the scheduler would keep calling the driver and telling him that he forgot about this other group and blah blah blah long story short, we were late. Even the driver was pissed.
The situation at the airport did not make things any better. Long queues everywhere and troubles with our itinerary (the airline cancelled our booking for no reason) prevented us from passing through customs on time.
In the end, sweaty and out of breath as we were, we made our flight.
Never again, Starbus.
