Tried non-alcoholic beer w/ N the other day. It tastes like a really gassy drink because they've got different flavors (like cider) - I had apple :) Sydney Road, contrary to its name, is probably the closest you can get to immersing yourself in the Arabic culture. There are quite a number of shops where you can buy Arabic tidbits, food and clothes. It is also the nearest street to the city that sells fresh Halal meat.
